Like so many recent songs, ‘The Fighter’ reaches out to bullied kids—these days, you can’t make a pop album without this kind of anthem—but it mixes up the formula with a little tough love. As far as most of America is concerned, Memorial Day marks the real launch of summer: burgers on the grill, a whole lot of sunscreen, and the return of the Vans X FYF House Parties in Brooklyn. Chyeah. You didn’t think we were going to leave you hanging this year, did you?

The first installment of the summer series will kick off on Wednesday, June 20th with performances from The Rapture and Tanlines, as well as a set from Dave P. Party numba 2 comes a few weeks later with H2O, 7 Seconds, and special guests on July 12th.

More parties are coming throughout the summer on  July 26th, August 2nd, August 16th, and August 29th, with bands to be announced.

All shows are all ages and free with RSVP. The first show will open up for RSVP on June 11th at vans.com/houseparties.

Pick up a copy of the new issue of Alternative Press on sale tomorrow for the story of Panic! At The Disco’s unreleased album Cricket And Clover that the band recorded in 2007. It’s part of AP’s “The Unheard Music” feature which also includes stories on unreleased music from My Chemical Romance, All Time Low, Green Day, Dashboard Confessional and 22 other bands.
